Supply Chain Manager

Position Summary Oversees and manages overall supply chain and logistics operations to maximize efficiency and minimize cost of organization's supply chain. Collaborate with multiple-functional managers to plan and execute on the development of a manufacturing operational process to ensure that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.  Develop key strategic relationships with North America suppliers to support the Systems and Solutions Business Operations group for assembly sourcing, manufacturing, procurement, logistics and supply chain strategies. This position requires a close working relationship and collaboration with the global strategic sourcing, quality, operational procurement, manufacturing managers and business unit operation leaders in strategy formulation and supplier / vendor selection. Key Responsibilities: o Develop the sourcing and supply strategy for engineered-to-order products portfolio.  The sourcing strategy will drive the continuous improvement of Rockwell's Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for the assigned vendors / products. o Collaborates with multiple manufacturing plants, business units and other supply chain functions, deploying materials planning strategies, as well as, leading key process improvement projects across areas of inventory planning, logistics, sourcing, project management and master production scheduling. o Consistently striving to reduce the total cost of materials through negotiation, working with plant leaders to develop a plant excess and scrap analysis. o Optimize planning throughout the factory to include raw materials, WIP and subassemblies to meet or exceed all Supply Chain KPI's, including inventory turns, bad inventory reduction, and expense management. o Evaluates and models existing processes; Organizes, leads and facilitates cross-functional projects. o Develops metrics that provide data for process management and indicators for future improvement opportunities. o Collects data to identify root cause problems; Measures performance against process requirements, aligning improvement projects to close performance shortfalls. o Identifies and manages resources, including cross-functional members, to successfully execute projects. o Assess organization skills and structure. Working with the Supply Chain and Operations leadership organizations, design a future state organizational structure and required skill levels. Assess the current organization and skills and establish a plan to transform the organization through skill building, motivation and upgrades. o Develop and implement an employee value proposition that continues to upgrade the company's material planning, purchasing and logistics talent base. Develop performance objectives and conduct quarterly reviews with manager. In addition, participate in career planning and development discussions for leader and high potential professionals, and assume a mentoring relationship with high-potential professionals.   EOE, M/F/DISABLE,VET Basic Qualifications o Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Business, or other technical field o Minimum of 8 years' experience working in strategic sourcing in a manufacturing and/or industrial environment o Minimum of 5 years management experience o Possess knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. o Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS access and problem solving/root causes analysis tools such as DMAIC o Possess well rounded knowledge in supply chain, materials planning and logistics. o Minimum of 30% (domestic and international) travel required Legal authorization to work in the US is required.
