POSITION SUMMARY

We provide our utility clients with a wide range of energy-saving and renewable energy solutions. From individual utility customers and construction contractors, to utilities, municipalities, and government bodies, our clients have come to depend on our customized energy efficiency programs to help them to meet their energy saving goals.

The Project Manager is responsible for the P&L of multiple energy efficiency programs throughout the designated region. This position will also be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with our target utility clients. The project manager will also assist in the start-up and implementation of energy efficiency programs. You will also be working with others who are passionate about energy efficiency and making a positive impact on the industry.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and grow the client relationship and serve as an advocate for our client
  • Practice effective project management skills in leading multiple utility energy efficiency programs
  • Supervise senior program managers and assist them with hiring and managing of field and office support staff
  • Manage utility programs directly if size, scope and availability of staff warrant it
  • Coordinate with other energy efficiency programs, corporate office staff, human resources, information technology, and marketing departments
  • Provide day to day leadership to program staff including managing incentive processing, marketing programs, and assisting a team to creatively meet the goals of the program
  • Monitor and manage program budgets to ensure full utilization of funds while meeting or exceeding energy savings goals
  • Prepare the monthly invoice and monthly activity reports to the respective utility by the due date of each month
  • Incorporate Best Practice methods of energy efficiency program implementation
  • Extract information from a tracking system to manage a project/program

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university in business, engineering, or other discipline
  • Advanced degree Preferred
  • At least three years management/supervisory experience including hiring, coaching, performance reviews, and mentoring
  • Proficiency in financial management
  • Five or more years of experience in the energy industry
  • Experience in lighting, HVAC, and other technologies; including energy weatherization and air sealing service for multifamily programs

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Technical experience in developing and/or reviewing energy savings calculations to determine paybacks and incentive levels for customers
  • Candidate must show proven leadership in fast paced environment
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Must be able to handle a wide work variety and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be a detail-oriented, organized, self-starter, and have an ability to prioritize workload
  • Ability to identify and resolve project application issues with customers and trade allies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong data entry skills in entering information in tracking systems/databases
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with customers, clients and employees
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data and solve practical problems
  • Knowledge of mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages and ratios
  • Reliable transportation

Licenses & Certifications

  • Valid driver s license

Travel Requirements

  • Willingness to travel up 15% of the time

  • Required to sit, stand, walk; talk and hear; and ability to touch and handle tools and/or controls
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds
  • Noise Level is typically moderate

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
