Job Description


Job Summary:


Assists with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.


Responsibilities:




  • Assists with treatments ordered by physician as supervised by physician or registered nurse. Performs select clinical duties.


  • Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.


  • Performs basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.


  • Performs basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies. Assists with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.


  • Actively participates in projects that improve quality, efficiency of care, patient satisfaction and positive outcomes.


  • Coordinates and/or schedules patient procedures, consultations and tests as ordered.



Qualifications

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:




  • Required Credential(s):



    • BLS Provider?credentialed from the?American Heart Association (AHA)?obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.?


    • One or more of the following:



      • Licensed?Practical/Vocational Nurse?obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.?


      • Registered?Medical Assistant?obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.?


      • Certified?Medical Assistant?obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.?





Education:



  • HS or Equivalent?

    • High School diploma or equivalent required Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program required by hire or job transfer date Minimum five (5) years of MA experience accepted in lieu of medical assistant program



Work Experience:



  • Demonstrated skills in EKG and Phlebotomy helpful.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
