We have an immediate hiring need for our full-time manufacturing Test Technician Level 3.
This is a 1st Shift role (M-F, 6:
00AM - 2:
30PM), in the high horse power department with a starting rate of $28.
75 per hour.
Job
Summary:
Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies.
Determines and may develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams.
Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems.
May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing.
Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.
May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment.
Responsibilities and
Essential Functions:
Uses documented work instructions with schematics and manufacturing execution systems to produce product that meets determined tolerances and specifications on semi-routine assignments at a variety of workstations.
Works with little direction and uses judgment to recognize the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.
Working from product user manuals, schematics, connections diagrams, and available test procedures to evaluate, diagnose, and test digital logic and analog power control products to ensure product conformity to functional specifications and quality standards.
Research and interpretation of product Bill of Materials, Engineering Change Orders, and historical documents related to revision and series changes of current and legacy product hardware designs and operating firmware is required.
This position analyzes and diagnose digital and analog electronic systems and circuits to the component level of internal printed circuit board assemblies performing repairs, adjustments or alterations as required while recording product test results, anomalies, and restoration information as appropriate and required in work order manufacturing systems and per process quality procedures.
This position will interpret how product operating firmware and test equipment software exercises circuitry function in the testing process and understand test outcomes in guiding the product analysis process, formulating a probable cause of the product anomaly and documenting evidence that supports that formulation is required.
Advising and conferring with Test, Product Design, and Quality Assurance Engineering personnel in the development of the product analysis and product function restoration approach may be required.
Will be required to assist Test Engineering in building and maintaining test equipment as required.
Define and make informed decisions on implementation of product restoration levels and reliability enhancements.
The ability to utilize more enhanced electrical troubleshooting tools such as tracers, oscilloscopes, and cap reformer is required.
Understanding separated power structures within complexity and variation of PCBAs electrical properties of electronic components (IGBT, SCR, Diode, and Capacitor and interpreting and understanding product fault codes and how codes relate to potential functional or application anomalies is crucial to the role.
Overtime is an essential function of this position which typically requires 20 hours of overtime/week.
